We expect company members to:
· Arrive on time for training / rehearsals and performances.
· Attend training / rehearsals and performances consistently.
· Arrive appropriately dressed and equipped for contemporary dance practice – Comfortable, stretchy or loose clothing, hair tie for long hair.
· Train and perform in bare feet, this is an integral part of contemporary dance practice which may differ to other dance forms.
· Always bring a bottle for water and a nutritious snack for breaktime.
· Always bring a notebook and pen to class.
· Mobile phones are to be switched off or on silent mode and are not to be used during class unless given prior permission by the teacher or in an emergency.
· Conduct oneself with honesty, courtesy and respect.
· To express kindness and consideration for oneself and others.
· Demonstrate respect for teachers, parents, staff and other students at all times.
· Show respect and care for the studio facilities and equipment at Dance Limerick.
· Avoid gossip and denigrating comments of any member of the dance community, peers or parents.
· Avoid use of inappropriate language or imagery in class or via social media platforms.
· Use appropriate language when on site, not shout at anyone or threaten to use violence against any person or property.
*Any breach in the above Code of Conduct may result in decreased participation in rehearsals, choreography and performances - up to and including, dismissal from the dance company (including loss of the membership fee).
We expect parents / guardians to:
· Support LYDC’s company aims by encouraging the young dancers to show commitment and positivity.
· Collect children on time.
· Notify us if a member is unable to attend with as much notice as possible.
· Remain up to date with LYDC rehearsals and events by reading all e-mail communication, responding where requested.
· Pay fees according to the published schedule.
· Complete all paperwork in full and notify us immediately of any changes; this is for your child’s safety and well-being.
· Notify us of any health conditions which may affect performance or safety and any allergies towards food products.
· Demonstrate respect for students, teachers, staff and other parents at all times.
· Use appropriate language when on site, not shout at anyone or threaten to use violence against any person or property.
